Lagos records fresh COVID-19 death

The Lagos State government Tuesday confirmed the death of another one COVID-19 patient in the state.

The state Ministry of Health, which disclosed this on its Twitter handle, said the development had increased the number of fatalities in the state to 31.

The ministry, however, did not give additional information about the age, sex, nationality and medical history of the deceased.

It added that as of May 4, Lagos recorded 76 new cases of COVID-19 infection, increasing the number of confirmed cases in the state to 1,199.

According to the ministry, 14 patients were discharged on Monday, bringing the number of discharged patients in Lagos to 261.
