Late Alizee's father says he doesn't believe his daughter’s killer is in prison

Ali Madaki, the father of late singer Zainab Ali-Nielsen who was killed by her husband Peter Nielsen says he suspects foul play in the way the suspect is being treated.

According to the bereaved father who is also mourning the death of his granddaughter killed by the same man, he does not believe that Peter is in jail.

He said in an interview with PUNCH; “We were told he has been taken to Ikoyi Prison. But the last time we saw him in court, he did not look like someone who came from a prison. He looked very clean, wearing a white shirt and holding a bottle of water.

“A lot of people are saying the man is not in the prison. I was also told that he was taken to his house to collect some items. This doesn’t speak well about the country if some prisoners get preferential treatment because of their status.”

The 53-year-old Danish national appeared before the magistrate court in Yaba on the 8th of this month over the murder of his wife and their three-year-old daughter Petra but the case was adjourned until June 28 when a proper trial for the April 5 alleged murder would commence.

Details of the post-mortem examination conducted on the late musician which was made known at a press briefing by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, weeks ago revealed that the artiste died from trauma.

Edgal said the trauma suffered by the entertainer emanated from the injuries inflicted on her head, allegedly by her husband.

Alizee’s husband allegedly killed his wife after a heated argument and poisoned her daughter, Petra, last month at his residence at Block 4, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi.
