Late Ocholi’s driver not licensed to drive – FRSC

Late minister Ocholi’s driver was unlicensed

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has revealed that the driver of the later Minister of State for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi did not have a driver’s license.

This was disclosed by the Corps Marshall of the FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, when he presented the report of investigation into the accident that claimed the minister’s life and alongside his wife and son to the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, on Wednesday.

Boboye, while disclosing the cause of the accident, said the accident occurred because of over speeding.

Speaking about the driver, Boboye said Ocholi’s driver had no driver’s license as his name was not found on the data base of FRSC.

At the FEC meeting, President Mohammadu Buhari, and some select ministers paid glowing tributes to late Ocholi.

Speaking on the burial arrangement for Ocholi, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir David Lawal said Ocholi’s burial may hold between 16th and 18th of March, 2016.

It would be recalled that the late Minister lost his life in an accident that also claimed the lives of his wife and son along Abuja – Kaduna Expressway on Sunday.
