Man City's stoppage time winner breaks Bournemouth

A last-gasp strike from midfielder, Raheem Sterling, secured a win for Manchester City as their hosts Bournemouth suffered a 2-1 heartbreak on Saturday.

The Pep Guardiola’s side came from 1-0 down to grab all three points from the game, leaving the home side with three straight defeats in the Premier League this season.

A stunning 13th-minute strike from defender Charlie Daniels put Bournemouth ahead early in the game, but was cancelled out by a cool finish from City striker Gabriel Jesus in the 21st minute.

Sterling then scored a 97th-minute winner and was sent off for his celebration, having picked up a first yellow card.

“Winning the last minute is always special,” Guardiola said after the game.

“It was a tough game, it is always complicated against Bournemouth. They play long balls, balls into the channels and play set-pieces but we got into the game. We tried, our finishing was not good but we are there.”

Manchester City will play their next Premier League at home to Liverpool.
