Man shoots self near White House, US Secret Service says

A yet-to-be identified man has reportedly shot himself near the seat of power of the United States of America better known as the White House with security operatives said to be responding to the incident.

The development was made known by the Secret Service which revealed via Twitter that the incident allegedly happened along the North Fence line of the White House on Saturday afternoon.

Reports say there were no other reported injuries related to the incident and the president has been briefed on the matter.

“We are aware of the situation,” said White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a statement.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were both at the Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club in Palm Beach, Florida when the shooting happened.
