Man Utd beat rivals Liverpool in FA Cup classic

Manchester United have advanced to the semifinal of the English FA Cup following a 4:3 defeat to rivals Liverpool after extra time.

Amad Diallo netted the winning goal deep into extra time to send Old Trafford fans into great excitement.

The Red Devils successfully kept their trophy hopes alive for this season in an incident-packed encounter.

United opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Scot McTominay before Liverpool equalised in the 44th minute through Alex Mac Allister.

In the second minute of first half’s added time, Mohamed Salah put Liverpool 2-1 ahead and Antony scored an 87th minute equaliser to send the game to extra time.

In the 105th minute of extra-time Liverpool went 3-2 up off the boot of Harvey Elliot whose low shot took a deflection before nestling inside the net.

United refused to accept defeat and were rewarded in 112 minutes when Rashford levelled.

Then in 122nd minute, Diallo scored the winner off a brilliant counter, but was shown a red card for taking off his shirt.

Meanwhile, United will take on Coventry City in the semifinals, and holders Manchester City will battle Chelsea.
