Mercy Aigbe denies moving back in with estranged husband Lanre Gentry

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has quashed reports making the rounds that she had moved back in with her estranged husband Lanre Gentry after she purportedly reconciled with him.

The thespian denied the claims in an interview with encomium.ng, revealing that that the reports of reconciliation and her moving back into her husband’s house were untrue; “The story is false. We are still in court,” she said.

This is the second time the 38-year-old filmmaker and mother of two, who is embroiled in a bitter spat with her husband of seven years, has denied moving back into her matrimonial home.

In the last four weeks, Lanre is said to have been making moves to reconcile with his wife having realised his mistake and the critical situation he is faced with in respect to the court case. He has already tendered a public apology to the mother of his son.

Lanre who is determined to mend fences with Mercy, has reportedly met with family members of his wife in company of his family members, to end the feud between them and convince her (Mercy) to drop battery charges leveled against him.

    That so called public apology sounded more like “Oya sorry if it’s sorry you want”. I couldn’t find genuine remorse there. But anyway, no be me wey dem beat.
