US Senate to decide Kavanaugh's fate on Saturday

US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has more trouble to contend with after a third woman came out to accuse him of sexual misconduct.

The accusation of the woman identified as Julie Swetnick came to light after her lawyer tweeted a declaration of the allegations on Wednesday.

According to the declaration, shared by lawyer Michael Avenatti, Swetnick said she met Kavanaugh and his school friend, Mark Judge, in the 1980s and attended several parties in which the two were present.

“On numerous occasions at these parties, I witnessed Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh drink excessively and engage in highly inappropriate conduct, including being overly aggressive with girls and not taking ‘No’ for an answer,” she said.

“This conduct included the fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent.”

However, Kavanaugh denies the claims made by Swetnick who says she saw him ‘engage in abusive behavior towards girls’ in 1980s.

The latest accusation came after a university professor who accused him of sexual assault agreed to testify before a Senate panel.

Reports say the decision by Christine Blasey Ford to testify before the Senate panel came a week after she went public in an interview in the Washington Post with her allegation that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in 1982 when both were high school students in Maryland.

The decision by the university don to testify against Kavanaugh come just hours after the New Yorker magazine published an article in which another woman, identified as Deborah Ramirez, described another instance of alleged sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh, also in the 1980s, when they both attended Yale University.
