Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon was in action from the start for Levante in their victory over Celta Vigo in Spanish La Liga on Saturday.

It was Simon’s first La Liga start for the club, who thrashed Celta Vigo 4-1 at the Municipal de Balaidos.

Simon, who joined the side from Belgian club KAA Gent last season, has made seven La Liga appearances scoring just once.

Goals from Jose Luis Morales in the 20th minute and another header from Coke gave Levante a two goal lead into the break.

Both goals were set up by Ruben Rochina.

At the start of the second half, Morales extended Levante’s lead to 3-0 in the 62nd minute.

Brais Mendez pulled one back for the hosts in the 89th minute, but Borja Mayoral put the game beyond the reach of the home team, Celta Vigo.

Moses is expected to be named in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad to face Seychelles in an Africa Nations Cup qualifier on the 23rd of March in Asaba, Delta State.

He is also expected to represent Nigeria at the AFCON finals in Egypt later in the year.
