Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi put up a fine performance but Leicester City fell 1-0 to Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday night.

His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho also played as a substitute in the game.

The Foxes, who defeated the champions 2-1 in the reverse fixture this season, frustrated them up till the 70th minute at the Etihad stadium before the hosts broke the deadlock.

A stunner by Vincent Kompany made the difference between both sides.

The result means City, who now need to beat Brighton in their final game on Sunday, could emerge champions again.

The Pep Guardiola side hold a one-point lead as they go into the last round of fixtures on Sunday.

City travel to Brighton while second-placed Liverpool host Wolves, as a pulsating title race comes to climax.

Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: “One game left, and it will be so tough like today. We are away and we saw Brighton had a good game at Arsenal (scoreline: 1-1).

“But it is in our hands, don’t forget but we could have been 10 points behind if we lost to Liverpool here.

“We were seven points behind, but we are in the last game and it is in our hands. We are going to prepare well.

“We’ll see if Brighton defend deep or will be more offensive. It will be tough, but hopefully we will have the performance to be champions.”
