Nigerian in India escapes mob action over chicken meat (Video)

A Nigerian lady living in India narrowly escaped being lynched on Tuesday after she was accused of cannibalism.

The unidentified Nigerian woman was reportedly accused by an Indian lady of feeding on human flesh after she was seen with meat from a chicken.

The Indian lady was said to have raised the alarm, informing everyone around that the Nigerian was feeding on human flesh.

However, the area, known as Royal Apartment, Sigma 4 was a secured estate in an upscale area of the country, and the police was called in before any action could be taken by a small group that had gathered.

The Nigeria Citizens Welfare Association (NICWA) in Greater Noida, Pradesh State, India which shared the incidence on social media lamented that many Africans had been killed on such flimsy accusations.

According to them, many Nigerian and Africans are blackmailed and beaten to death with bamboo sticks for no just reason.

The group noted that the only reason the Nigerian lady was not attacked, or even killed was because she lived in a secured estate, and that if she had lived in a more populated area, she would have been lynched.

The police was called in, and they scolded the Indian Lady for her actions, but a number of Nigerians resident in that country insist that she should be prosecuted and made to face the penalty, to serve as deterrent to others.
