OHIO: 1 dead, 14 injured in nightclub shooting

Tragedy struck at the Cameo Night Club in Cincinnati, Ohio when a gunman opened fire killing one person and injuring 14 others in the process.

Initially, police sources said the gunmen were two in number but after further investigations, it was revealed that only one shooter was involved in the incident which authorities say is not terror-related.

Police Captain Kimberly Williams said the motive behind the attack is still unclear; “At this point it’s unclear exactly what instigated the shooting,” she told reporters.

According to Cincinnati Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate while speaking to news channel WLWT-TV, several people have life-threatening injuries.

“We are in the middle of a very horrific situation that occurred at the nightclub with multiple victims. It’s going to be a long night for our homicide units to investigate,” he said.

The shooting in Ohio is coming less than a year after gunman, Omar Mateen opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida killing 49 people in the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
