Olujimi, Faseyi vow to reclaim 'stolen' mandate

The Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi; and the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Air Force, Duro Faseyi, have assured their constituents that they will reclaim their mandates allegedly stolen at the National Assembly election.

The senators representing Ekiti South and Ekiti North at the red chambers of the National Assembly gave the assurance on Monday at Ado Ekiti, while rounding up their Easter visits to local government areas under their senatorial districts.

Olujimi and Faseyi, who lost their reelection bids to candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have approached the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal.

The Senate Minority Leader said: “We want you to see this visit and our rubbing minds together today as a morale booster, to assure you to keep hope alive as the nearest future is very bright.

“We also want to inform you that we have sought solid legal redress in order to reclaim our freely given mandate for the sake of rendering our usual quality service to our people and ensure that they continue to enjoy real dividends of democracy.

“We all noticed that there were many irregularities in the last poll which led to the stealing of our mandates.

“We assure you that we will reclaim the mandates, so; do not despair.”
