OSUN: Suspected thugs gang rape six female nurses

The unthinkable played out at a private hospital in the Osogbo metropolis area of Osun State when rapists, armed with axes and machetes, invaded the health care centre raping six female nurses who were on night duty.

According to findings, the leader of the gang had asked one of the nurses out but she declined, telling him that he was not in her league, a response which infuriated the gang leader who contacted his members to carry out an unexpected invasion of the hospital.

A resident who lives around the hospital while recounting the incident said; “The leader of the thugs had made several efforts to woo one of the nurses into a relationship but the nurse had been adamant.

“The thug had made several phone calls to the nurse which she did not pick. After that, he decided to check on her at the hospital where she is working. When the man (thug) got to the hospital, he met with the nurse but she shunned him.

“As a result of this, he reached out to his members who stormed the hospital to rape the nurses and after that, dispossessed patients of their money and phones, including those of the nurses.”

Reports say the management of the hospital has refused to speak on the development, even as the State Police Command was yet to confirm or comment on the matter as at the time of filing in this report.

This is enough reason to extend operation crocodile smile II to Osun state, the state government and the police are not capable of handling the state.

Ladies need to learn better nice ways of turning men down instead of shunning and insulting them, I’m not trying to justify the evil action of the thug, but the nurse must have said something hurtful.

This is an indirect justification, the report didn’t ascertain that the Nurse was rude to the thug. Thugs will forever be thugs, they are unpredictable and always sad! You are also lady, you should know there’s no happy ‘NO’ when turning a lady down, only few reasonable guys can see the positive sides of a ‘NO’

The thug passed his boundary truly, he should be killed for the evil he has done on the nurses. What makes him think a professional nurse will say YES to relationship request from someone who has no life? This is an unfortunate occurance and the government should take the case very seriously. I’m awaiting death sentence of those who raped the nurses including their head-honcho
