Two days after five persons were reportedly killed at Nzharuvo community in Basa Local Government Area of Plateau State, four more victims have been murdered in fresh attacks by gunmen in the state.
Reports say the victims said to be children below the age of 10 were killed on Friday night in La’ake village located of Kwall district when the attackers invaded the village in commando style.
According to Daniel Kadzia, the village head, the attackers “perfected their dastardly acts” within few minutes, having noticed that the youth and the men had gone for mining at that time they struck.

Kadzia also revealed that most of the children who were playing under the moonlight just before the attack got killed as they ran for safety when they heard gunshots.
The incident has been confirmed by Mathias Tyopev, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Plateau State Command, who informed that the police commissioner had deployed security operatives to the community to ward off any attack.
