After a month of being on the wanted list of the Nigerian Police Command, Damini Ogulu popularly known in music circles as Burna Boy has finally turned himself in to the police.

Reports say Burna Boy was thoroughly interrogated by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal over his role in the robbery attack involving his fellow colleague Mr. 2Kay before he was detained.

Speaking moments after interrogating Burna Boy, Imohimi said; “There would be no sacred cows. This Command is poised to ensure that every resident can feel safe wherever they are and carry out their businesses without fear or favour. Anyone, therefore, found to be involved in this case would be made to face the law to clear his or her name or face prosecution.”

A press statement by SP Chike Oti, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Chike Oti, also revealed that the singer who recently returned from honouring an invitation to perform in Botswana would be charged to court on Monday.

Four suspects identified as Balogun Ademola, Obina Igwe, Tunmise Omotore and Joel Kantiock, who claimed to be Burna Boy’s road manager – were paraded by the police in connection with the attack on Mr. 2Kay.

They were alleged to have been offered N100,000 by Burna Boy to teach their victim a lesson.

Mr 2Kay has also finally opened up on the robbery saga that left him battered, bruised and hospitalised when assailants allegedly sent by Burna Boy attacked him in his room at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, in the month of October.

He said he had reported Burna Boy’s threat to Timaya and he (Timaya) had called both artists to make peace before he was attacked by the men sent by Burna Boy a few weeks later.
