Sacked DSS DG Daura arrested, detained

The police have arrested and detained the sacked Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS) Lawal Daura.

Daura was sacked on Tuesday by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as a fallout of the illegal takeover of the National Assembly by operatives of the DSS.

His sack was announced while he was still meeting with the Acting President.

In a statement by his media aide, Professor Osinbajo described the takeover as unlawful and unauthorised, vowing to ensure everyone involved is disciplined.
