Federal govt backs NHIS boss, says boards have no right to suspend CEOs of parastatals

Indications have emerged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of Boss Mustapha as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), may have been tactically done to compensate disgraced former SGF, Babachir Lawal.

A member of House of Representatives during the Second Republic, and well known critic of Buhari, Dr Junaid Muhammed, on Monday alleged that the new SGF is a first cousin to Babachir Lawal.

“Before you begin to celebrate the appointment of Boss Mustapha as the new SGF, do you know that he is in fact, Babachir Lawal’s first cousin? This is a continuation of the cronyism and nepotism the Buhari – led administration has become infamous for,” Muhammed was quoted to have told a news platform.

Mohammed, a politician from Kano State, has remained a firece critic of Buhari’s administration. He had also some time ago accused Buhari of nepotism and listed several of his appointments to support his claims.

Among the appointments for which he accused Buhari of nepotism earlier include that of his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; a Personal Assistant to Buhari; the State Chief of Protocol; the Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Musa Bello; Sabiu Yusuf, a PA to President Buhari; Amina Zakari, a national commissioner in the Independent National Electoral Commission, among others.

The Presidency is yet to publicly deny these allegations.

When will madness end in Buhari’s government? If truly Mustapha is Lawal’s cousin, then the madness in Buhari’s government is far from ending

The truth is that, no matter what they tend to do, as long the government is moving fine

Now that Mustapha is Babachir Lawal’s first cousin, what is the big deal? Buhari has the right to appoint whoever he wants into his cabinet, I don’t se this as any form of compensation to Lawal. It simply means Lawal’s cousin who is not a criminal is also qualified enough to serve in Buhari’s government.

I strongly disagree with this your crazy opinion! What Buhari did is pure compensation which simply means ‘Babachir don’t worry, we’ll kick you out and appoint your cousin so that you can still maintain your influence through your blood’. Buhari is not a good leader!

Evidently, Buhari is running this government among his people that are loyal to him, no matter what they do, he’ll always compensate them in one way or another. Why can’t Buhari appoint someone who’s not releated to Babachir and also not Hausa?

Without fear, buhari is nothing but an hypocrite, why appointing SGF from Adamawa again? Why Babachir’s cousin? Are we fools, must the SGF be from the north? Or it’s only the north that are fit for all position?
