Suleman's accuser Miss Otobo arraigned in Lagos court on stealing, blackmail charges

Alleged Canadian based stripper Stephanie Otobo who claimed she was involved in an amorous relationship with the founder of Omega Fire Ministry Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman has been charged at a Tinubu Chief Magistrates’ Court.

Miss Otobo was charged with conspiracy, blackmail, threat to life and an intent to steal and was docked along with a 43 year-old, man identified as Wisdom Godstime.

According to the court papers, the duo conspired among themselves to steal by demanding for property with menaces and an attempt to extort money.

The prosecutor also stated that the defendants with intent to blackmail Mr Suleman, unlawfully demanded the immediate payment by Mr Suleman of $1million to Ms Stephanie.

While addressing the court, M. A Animashaun, the prosecutor informed the court that the defendants and others at large committed the alleged offence on February 14, 2017, at about 10:30am, at Police College, Ikeja Lagos.

The prosecutor revealed that the offences alleged to have been committed by the two defendants are punishable under sections 411, 301 and 303 of the criminal law of Lagos state 2015.

In her ruling, Magistrate Kikelomo Bukola-Ayeye, granted the defendants who both pleaded not guilty to the charge leveled against them bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum, who must be gainfully employed and adjourned the case till 27 April for further hearing.
