Super Eagles maintain spot in FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained the 47th spot in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA World rankings released on Thursday.

The rankings, published on FIFA website, also saw nigeria retain their sixth position in the African continent.

The Eagles’ 2018 World Cup Group D opponents all maintain their previous spots.

While Argentina stayed on fifth in the world, Croatia and Iceland retained 18th and 22nd respectively.

Nigeria’s next international game will be against the Democratic Republic of Congo. The central African nation are ranked 38th in the world.

World Cup holders, Germany remain in first position, followed by Brazil, then Belgium, Portugal and Argentina.

Switzerland are sixth, France are seventh, Spain eighth, Chile ninth and Poland tenth.

The next FIFA ranking will be published on June 7, 2018.
