Taraba dep gov’s mum kidnapped

 

Unknown gunmen on Monday stormed the family house of the Taraba State deputy governor, Haruna Manu, whisking his mother, Hajiya Belli Manu away to an unknown destination.

Reports say the gunmen invaded her residence in Bakin Kasuwa area of Mutum Biyu town, about 70 kilometers from Jalingo, the state capital, at about 9.30pm Monday night.

The kidnappers numbering about ten reportedly killed a middle aged man in front of the family house before taking the deputy governor’s mum away.

Chairman of Gassol local government area, Alhaji Tukura Bashiru confirmed the incident.
