Team Nigeria chase glory at World Athletics Indoor

Team Nigeria at the World Indoor Championships will on Friday begin their quest to win a medal that has eluded the country since 2008 when Olusoji Fasuba stormed to the men’s 60m title with a World Lead (WL) of 6.51m in Valencia, becoming the first African in history to accomplish this feat.

Egwero Ogho-Ogene will be competing in the 60m with the sole aim of equaling Fasuba record, although he will need a lot of luck on his side as he look forward to better his debut performance in Doha six years ago where he finished 5th in the semis.
