Tiger Woods arrested for drink-driving

Golf superstar Tiger Woods was arrested on Monday for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol in Florida, according to reports.

The American celebrity was arrested on Military Trail just south of Indian Creek Parkway in the town of Jupiter at around 03:00 local time, and reports say he has not made any comment.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office later released a mugshot of Woods, after a charge listed as Driving Under the Influence (DUI), specifying an unlawful blood alcohol level.

The 41-year old, who has been recovering from recent back surgery, was booked into a local jail and released on his “own recognizance”, meaning he promised in writing to co-operate with future legal proceedings.
