Super Eagles defender, Tyronne Ebuehi is hoping to emerge victorious with the Super Eagles as they battle the Three Lions of England in a pre-World Cup friendly in Wembley this weekend.

The 22-year-old Benfica player, who was in action against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the farewell friendly in Port-Harcourt last Monday, says playing in a stadium like Wembley is something every player dreams of.

Nigeria will be meeting England for only a second time at the senior level when they play on Saturday. They first met in November 1994 when the Eagles were beaten 1-0.

But Ebuehi, who would be hoping to make the starting lineup for Nigeria, was quoted by KweséESPN as saying: “We know it is going to be a hard game, but also a very nice one.

“Playing in a stadium like Wembley is something you dream of. It’s such a great stadium and everyone is looking forward to playing in it.

“I hope we win. We are going to give it our all and I think we can make it hard for England … I believe we can get a victory.”

The game is part of preparations for both nations ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup which kicks off on June 14 in Russia.

The Eagles will travel to Austria after the encounter for the final phase of their camping and also play Czech Republic, before finally jetting out to Russia.
