UEFA: Dele Alli handed 3-match ban; Arsenal, Bayern to pay fine

Following his being sent off during his side’s Europa League clash against Gent at Wembley in February,Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been banned for three European matches

Alli was dismissed for a challenge on Brecht Dejaegere in a 2-2 draw that eliminated them from the competition.

Should Tottenham secure a top-three Premier League finish this season, Alli, who also missed the final three games of last season’s Premier League after admitting a charge of violent conduct for punching West Brom’s Claudio Yacob in the stomach, would miss three of their Champions League group games next season.

Also, Arsenal FC have been fined £5,000 after some of their fans ran on to the pitch during their 5-1 Champions League home defeat by German side, Bayern Munich on March 7.

Bayern Munich were also fined £3,000 after their supporters delayed the tie at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium by throwing rolls of paper onto the pitch in protest over ticket prices.
