APC dissolves Gombe exco, approves Caretaker Officers

Gombe State executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been dissolved by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

The National Secretary of the party, Mai Bala Buni, made this public at the party’s national secretariat, in Abuja, on Thursday. The party said its decision followed “irreconcilable differences” in the top hierarchy of the state chapter which led the state chapter of the party into factions.

Buni, in a statement he signed himself read in part, “The National Working Committee of our Party in exercise of its powers contained in Article 13.4 (xvi & xvii) of the Party’s Constitution resolves as follows, accept the resignation of Mr. Karu Ishaya and Mr Sallau Manu Pindiga as state Deputy Chairman and state Secretary respectively. Relieve Barr Muhammad Magaji Doho and Barr Dauda Manu as state Chairman and state Legal Adviser respectively.”

The party says the decision takes effect from 31st August, 2016.

The NWC also approved, the composition of Caretaker Officers into the vacant offices as follows, Hon. Lawan Shetima, state Chairman, Capt. Bala Jibrin, state Deputy Chairman, Alh. Sule Yakubu state Secretary, Barr Joseph William, Legal Adviser. The Committee is to serve for three months in the first instance.
