Barca go top of La Liga with 6-0 win over Alaves​

Spanish giants Barcelona were on fire on Saturday as they thumped Copa Del Rey finalist Alaves 6-0 in their week 22 La Liga clash at the Nou Camp.

Goals from Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Ivan Rakitic helped the Luis Enrique side assume top of the La Liga table.

Suarez turned in the opener for the visitors from Aleix Vidal’s drilled cross, before Neymar tapped in the second from close range.

Barca turned on the style in the second half with four goals in the space of nine minutes, as Messi stroked in the third before Ruano Delgado’s own goal.

Ivan Rakitic smashed home from inside the area in the 65th minutes and Suarez added the sixth two minutes later to finish the game at 6.

Alaves, during the week, edged through against Celta Vigo in their Copa Del Rey semi-final clash, and will be facing Barcelona, who also qualified for final with a 3-2 aggregate over Atletico Madrid, on May 27.
