Buhari moves to placate angry APC aspirants

Aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who have been aggrieved over the outcome of the party’s primaries for 2019 elections, were on Tuesday hosted by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President along the chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, hosted the aggrieved party aspirants to a dinner at the Presidential Villa.

In attendance at the meeting were gubernatorial, national and state assembly aspirants who failed to secure the party’s tickets in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

Others at the meeting were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, cabinet ministers and other presidential aides.

Earlier on October 13, Buhari had met with aggrieved members of the House of Representatives under the platform of the APC.
