Card reader fails in Mimiko’s ward, others

Report of card reader failures have continued to raise concerns among the major parties involved in the election.

The reader assigned to ward 7, unit 21, Ondo west local government area where the governor went to cast his vote also failed to work.
He had to fill the incidence form before he was allowed casting his vote.

Also at Unit 10 Mahin Ward 3 Ilaje, the card reader was also reported to have malfunctioned throwing up confusion among registered voters who turned up for the exercise.

INEC officials complained that sometimes the machine would read and the pictures would not display.
Voters in the unit have filled incident forms to be able to vote.

Also, reports from polling Unit 7 Ward 1 Omoniyi 2, Ondo West LGA, is that one card reader out of the two assigned to the unit malfunctioned, the situation forced INEC officials to make use of the good one only as the bad one was not replaced.
