The United State of America has continued to record more infections following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country with health authorities revealing on Saturday that more than 104,000 cases have been recorded.

Figures provided by the Johns Hopkins University late on Friday revealed that the number of fatalities surpasses 1,700 in America pushing the global death toll up to 27,360.

Meanwhile, the government of Zimbabwe led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced that the country will go into lockdown from Monday in an effort to control the spread of coronavirus.

So far, the country has recorded five cases and one death, 30-year-old journalist Zororo Makamba. The low number of cases though “need not induce complacency”, Mr Mnangagwa said in an address to the nation.
