COVID-19: Russia braces for worst days as Italy records first decrease in active cases

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, stated Monday that the country was yet to witness her worst days as the peak of the pandemic gradually approaches.

In a televised conference with experts, Putin stated that the “Spread of the epidemic, unfortunately continues…and now we need to do everything to smooth out this peak, to shorten the transit time through the so-called plateau, when the largest number of new infections is recorded.”

Meanwhile, Italy is said to have recorded its first-time decrease in active cases since the outbreak, from Sunday’s 108,257 to 108,237 cases on Monday.
