COVID-19: US Air Force, Navy fly over states to salute health workers

The US Air Force Thunderbirds and Navy Blue Angels paid homage to essential health care workers at the frontlines of the pandemic Saturday with fly-over salutes.

The display drew large crowds towards the US Capitol and Washington Monument as the planes flew past Baltimore, Washington, DC and Atlanta.

Cmdr. Brian Kesselring, commanding officer of the Blue Angels and flight leader for the fly-over, said in a release:

“America Strong is a way for both teams to show appreciation to the thousands of doctors, nurses, first responders and essential workers out there serving on the frontline day-in and day-out,”

“This is an extraordinary and unprecedented time but we will get through this. We are all in this together,” he added
