Reports from Rivers State claims that three people were killed in the early hours of today (Saturday) over the governorship and state House Assembly elections.

One of the victims identified as Michael Abednego, was reportedly killed in Ahoada West Local Government Area (LGA).

The two other victims were said to be a former APC woman leader, whose name was yet to be ascertained and another male. Thee were both were killed in Ndoni, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA.

Abednego was allegedly shot dead by a uniformed man said to be a Mobile Police Officer attached to a high profile politician in the state.

The incident was said to have happened at about 02:55am at the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akinnima community in Ahoada West.

Unknown gunmen, it was learnt, shot and killed the ex-APC woman leader and the male victim in front of the LGA Secretariat at Ndoni.
