The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Ayogu Eze has refused to vote and has ordered his supporters to do the same.

He is asking the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the election in order to give him more time to campaign.

Eze, who spoke with newsmen at his country home in Umuozzi, Enugu-Ezike, Igboeze North council of the state said that he was angry that his name was not included among governorship candidates contesting in the state.
According to him, his name is missing in the final list of governorship candidates published by INEC, despite the Appeal Court order reinstating him as the APC governorship candidate.

He said, “INEC claims to have party logos on the ballot paper so why didn’t they publish only the logos of all the political parties and leave the candidates?’’ Eze complained.

He also stated that his decision not to vote was influenced by his supporters, who insisted that INEC must do the right thing before he, or them, would take part in the election.
