EPL: Leicester win, Boro sink in as Palace move out of relegation zone

England champions Leicester City earned their second win in the Premier League this year after coming from 0-1 down to win 3-1 against Hull City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Foxes, who defeated Liverpool in their last game, went behind when Hull’s Sam Clucas scored from close range from Kamil Grosicki’s pull-back in the 14th minute, but got back in the game with Christian Fuchs’ equaliser, courtesy of the good work of Jamie Vardy.

Reigning Africa Player of the Year, Riyad Mahrez, scored early in the second half with a low 18-yard strike to put the home side ahead, before Tom Huddlestone headed into his own net to seal a deserved victory for Leicester and their caretaker Manager Shakespeare.

“We spoke to the players before the game, they showed resilience and character. It was against the run of play to go 1-0 down, but to bounce back showed the resilience in our side,” said Shakespeare after the game.

At West Brom, the brilliant second-half strikes from Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend earned Crystal Palace a victory which has seen them move out of the bottom three.
