Crystal Palace defeated Tottenham in their FA Cup fourth round tie on Sunday, making it a second Cup exit for Spurs in one week.

Spurs had crashed out of the Carabao Cup on Thursday after falling to Chelsea on penalties in their semifinal clash.

They went on to lose 2-0 to Palace in the FA Cup, thereby leaving them with only two races – the Premier League and the Champions League.

Connor Wickham opened the scoring in the 9th minute before a penalty by Andros Townsend doubled the lead on 34 minutes and Spurs missed a penalty before halftime.

It was Palace’s first win over Tottenham since 2016, and it sees them to the fifth round of the competition.

They are reaching the round for the first time since the 2015-16 season, when they went on to reach the final.
