A Lebanese, Wael Jerro, who offered to sell a Nigerian, Peace Busari, an Oyo State indigene for $1000 on Facebook has been arrested, NIDCOM chairman disclosed on Thursday.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), disclosed this via her Twitter page.

“Trafficked Nigerian girl for sale on Facebook by a Lebanese !The Lebenese Government just announced the arrest of Mr. Wael Jerro for onward prosecution against criminal sales of a human, a young Nigerian girl,” her post read.

Many Nigerians had called for the arrest of the Lebanese national and rescue of Busari.
