Many killed in Turkey as bus is hit by deadly blast

A bus carrying off-duty soldiers which was opposite a university campus was hit by an explosion which according to reports has claimed several lives on the spot.

The explosion which occurred in the central Turkish city of Kayseri according to security sources also wounded many victims who were at the scene of the incident when it happened.

Turkey’s Dogan news agency said that the blast was caused by a car bomb as TV images showed the bus reduced to a smouldering wreck by the blast.

No actual number of casualties were given as at the time of filing in this report in the explosion which comes a week after 44 people were killed by a bomb attack in Istanbul claimed by Kurdish militants.
