Following the renewal of a bench warrant issued by a Federal High Court in Lagos for his arrest, and his being declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, on Friday disclosed that his men are trailing the ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly called Tompolo.

Tompolo is wanted in connection with a charge against him before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for alledgedly laundering $175 million.

Tompolo, who has refused to appear in court or answer to summons by the EFCC, was declared wanted by the anti-graft agency on Thursday, after the Lagos court renewed the bench warrant it earlier issued for his arrest.

His counsel had tried unsuccessfully to have the warrant vacated.
