Wilfred Ndidi with Leicester

Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action for Leicester City as they lost to Bournemouth in a Premier League encounter on Saturday.

Ndidi was on from the start of the game, and as the Claude Puel’s side were trailing 3-0 by halftime, Iheanacho was introduced in the second half.

The Foxes failed to find the back of the net when it mattered most even as they finished with 10 men following a Wes Morgan red card – and were beaten 4-2 by their hosts.

A double by Ryan Fraser and a goal each by Joshua King and Adam Smith made of no effect late replies by James Maddison and Marc Albrighton for Leicester.

Bournemouth moved into fifth place in the league table, while Leicester slip back to ninth after a second consecutive defeat.

Next up for Leicester is a clash at home against Huddersfield Town, who fell 0-1 to Crystal Palace also on Saturday.
