Obi, wife cast their votes, lament ‘clumsy’ INEC arrangement

Ex-Governor Peter Obi and running mate to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was joined by his wife to cast his ballot in the on-going presidential elections on Saturday.

Obi voted in his hometown in Anambra State.

Dressed in a light blue-flowered long-sleeve shirt, Obi cast his vote about 9am.

Addressing the media, he expressed some reservations about the process of accreditation and voting, saying it was a bit “clumsy” and that it took some time to have him accredited.

He, however, said he still had “faith in the system but that that does not to say the process is perfect.”

On whether the election has been credible, he said it was too early to comment on that.

Asked to confirm allegations of arrest of some PDP members on the eve of the elections, Obi said it was true.

“My answer is capital yes,” Obi said.
