Relatives threaten to place curse on Obama’s half-brother for supporting Trump
A group of clan elders in the village of Kogelo, in the Siaya County, of Kenya who happen to be close relatives of Malik Obama (Barack Obama’s half-brother) are threatening to place a curse on Malik for openly supporting Donald Trump.
One of the US President’s uncles, identified as Said Obama, accused Malik of blackmailing his own brother. “He has no moral authority to wage war against his brother and the President of the US, who is highly respected across the globe,” said Mr Said.
“As President Obama’s immediate family, we distance ourselves from Malik’s relationship with Trump, whose utterances and threats against Muslims and Africans living in the US have shocked the world,” he added.
Martin Ogada, another elder, said they were considering cursing Malik. “We are closely monitoring his behaviour and his decision to continue eating with the enemy. If he doesn’t change, we may be forced to put a curse on him,” said Mr Ogada.
Earlier this year, Malik also complained that when he last visited the White House, President Obama did not extend to him a “warm and loving” reception.
During an interview with the New York Post, Malik blasted Clinton for her performance as secretary of state, blaming her for the chaos and violence in the Middle East.
He said ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was a good friend of his. “Check out the situation in Libya now,” he said.
