Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as La Liga champions, Real Madrid blew Sevilla away at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

Real, who were only above fifth-placed Sevilla on goal difference prior to the game, led through Nacho’s close-range effort three minutes into the game.

Ronaldo then increased his La Liga goals tally by two, as he converted Marco Asensio’s through ball on 23 minutes and scored a penalty about eight minutes later to put Real 3-0 up.

The fourth goal came when Toni Kroos finished off a great move, before the midfielder set up Achraf Hakimi for the fifth which came 3 minutes before the break.

With all the goals coming in the first half, Real eased up after the break and Sevilla never threatened any kind of comeback.

The Zinedine Zidane side are now level on point with second-placed Valencia, and five points behind leaders, Barcelona.
