Seun Egbegbe's court trial stalls, case adjourned till Oct 3

The absence of the prosecuting counsel for the police, Mr. Innocent Anyigor has stalled the fraud trial of Ebony Productions CEO Olajide Kazeem popularly known as Seun Egbegbe.

During the sitting at the Federal High Court in Lagos, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, the trial judge, told Egbegbe and his co-defendants that he received a letter written by the prosecutor stating he would be out of jurisdiction on an official duty.

Justice Oguntoyinbo consequently adjourned the case of Egbegbe who is being tried for alleged serial frauds involving N39, 098,100, $90,000 and £12,550 till October 3, 2017.

The trial judge also ordered the defendants, who had yet to perfect their bail conditions, to return to the prison custody.

Meanwhile, Egbegbe’s business has reportedly fallen on bad times due to his detention with reports suggesting that even his exotic cars are now up for sale.

According to an impeccable source, there is nothing going on at Egbegbe’s Ebony Films Productions anymore as he continues to languish in prison after he was docked in February for defrauding some Bureau De Change operatives at Gbagada in Lagos.

There are also fears that the N5 million bail which he was granted alongside his accomplice Oyekan Ayomide since February 24, 2017 is too high for him to meet.
