Super Falcons maintain perfect start at WAFU
The Super Falcons of Nigeria won all three group games at the ongoing West African Football Union (WAFU) Women’s Cup after defeating Togo 3-1 on Monday night.
The Nigerian ladies kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 win over Mali, thrashed Senegal 3-0 in their second group game, and now Togo.
Anam Imo, Chinaza Uchendu and Chioma Wogu put the Nigeria on a comfortable lead before Wediko Afi grabbed a consolatory goal for Togo in the 81st minute.

Imo opened the scoring on 40 minutes when she beat Togolese goalkeeper Amouklou Ame from close range, before Uchendu headed in a cross to double the lead at the start of the second half.
Wogu tapped in a 71st-minute third; and Nigeria were heading to a clean sheet when Togo pulled one back from the spot.
The Super Falcons are winners of Group B on 9 points, and are now in the semifinals.
