Adamawa governor set to expand cabinet, receives Assembly permission to appoint 40 advisers

The Adamawa State Assembly has granted permission to the state Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, to appoint 40 Special Advisers.

Governor Fintiri had, through a letter read by the Speaker, Aminu Iya-Abbas, at plenary on Tuesday sought permission to appoint more advisers.

The governor’s cabinet before now had no commissioners and advisers, except the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

During plenary, the house also passed a resolution calling on the governor to suspend the caretaker chairman of Numan LGC, Mr Nathaniel Tyakul, following a petition against him to the House, signed by 10 councillors.
