Ezenwa named MVP in Nigeria vs Angola

Ikechukwu Ezenwa was crowned man of the match in Super Eagles’ 2-1 victory against Angola in an African Nations Champion​​ship (CHAN) quarter-final clash in Morocco on Sunday.

The captain and goalie of the home-based Eagles put up a suberp performance to help Nigeria come from behind to clinch a semi-final spot in the ongoing tournament.

Ezenwa, who plies his trade for Nigerian League side Enyimba, made four vital saves during the game to stop the Angolans, and has only conceded twice so far in the competition.

Stephen Eze and Dayo Ojo have also won the most valuable player award – in the games against Libya and Equatorial Guinea respectively.

Nigeria made it to the last four of the tournament thanks to goals by Anthony Okpotu and Gabriel Okechukwu in the encounter that got into extra time.

The Eagles will take on Sudan, who saw orf Zambia, in the semi-final at Marrakech on Wednesday.
