Iwobi starts in Arsenal's defeat at Brighton

Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi started with Arsenal on Sunday as they suffered their third straight defeat in a 2-1 loss to Brighton Hove Albion in the Premier League encounter.

It was the home side’s first win in 36 years against the Gunners and their first points against a top six side this season.

Iwobi played for 73rd minutes but could not help his side secure any point from the game, and was replaced by Danny Welbeck.

Lewis Dunk and Glen Murray fired Brighton far ahead in under 27 minutes, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back for the Gunners two minutes before the break.

Arsenal had beaten Brighton 2-0 in the reverse fixture at the Emirates last October.

Arsenal remain 6th on the table, and 13 points behind 4th-placed Tottenham.
