Moses voted out of CAF Team of the Year

Moses, Balogun make CAF Best XI, again

Super Eagles and Chelsea forward, Victor Moses has been voted out in the ongoing 2017 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Team of the Year selection.

According to a poll published on CAF’s verified Twitter handle on New Year’s Day, Moses narrowly lost out to Morocco and Wydad Casablanca player Mohamed Ounnajem for the position of the best right winger in Africa in 2017.

Ounnajem got 47 per cent of the 6,030 votes cast, with Moses getting 46 per cent.

In third place is Senegal and Monaco player Keita Balde who only secured seven per cent of the votes.

However, Nigerian duo William Troost-Ekong of Bursaspor and Junior Ajayi of Al-Ahly were voted into team.

While Troost-Ekong was voted into the defensive position, Ajayi was voted into the offensive midfield position.
