NFF signs N2.5bn sponsorship deal with Oil company

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have signed a huge sponsorship deal with oil and gas firm Aiteo Group on Wednesday, although it’s yet to issue an official statement about it.

The group will partner with NFF for the next five years with an option for another year in a deal reportedly worth N2.5 billion – that is, N500 million yearly, which adds up to the full amount after the initial five years.

Aiteo Group announced the deal on Wednesday via their Twitter handle @aiteogrp.

“Aiteo Group is now the official optimum partner of the NFF for the next five years,” the company wrote.

“Great to be the official sponsor-partner of Nigerian football. Great days ahead. The love of the game is universal. We are proud to sponsor the biggest footballing nation on the continent.”

The deal will cover all the national teams and parts of the money will be used to pay the salaries of the coach Gernot Rohr and others.
